This is Jose Luis, my buddy from La Chureca. La Chureca is the name of the city dump in Managua, where i hope to do a lot of work with different organizations there. Here there is a community of about 1500 people who live in and among the trash heaps working to collect recyclables which they sell to middle men for virtually nothing.

July 15th, 2007--> two weeks left!

Hola everyone! Thanks for checking up on me. I'm making my final preparations for my trip, and I'm just figuring out how to get this site up and running. I'll be leaving on the 31st of July, and I'm anxiously waiting for that day to come. I'll try to keep you all posted on all that happens down in my favorite place in the world. Until then, you can be praying for me that everything will come together smoothly in the next couple weeks, as I have a lot of paperwork to finish and a lot of packing and planning to do.
